2-Hour X-Ray Protection Training

X-ray machines are used widely in industry in such diverse applications as elemental analysis to microscopy.  These machines are normally operated by laboratory chemists and technicians.  The regulations by the Agreement States require that personnel operating these machines receive instruction and demonstrate competence in the understanding of:

Identification of radiation hazards;
Significance of various radiation warning and safety devices;
Reasons they are installed;
Proper operating procedures for the equipment;
Symptoms of acute localized over-exposures;
Proper procedures for reporting potential over-exposures.
This instruction can be provided by your RSO or other qualified experts. AEC provides a 2-hour course to comply with these regulatory requirements.  Testing and certifications will be issued.  This training can be incorporated into existing refresher or Authorized User training at your site.

Check with AEC to identify the appropriate training for your program.  We’ll work with you and the regulatory agency to create an effective training course.
