A radiation safety program is required for the protection of the workers, the public and the environment.

There is flexibility in the regulations to allow facilities to develop their own safety program to fit the needs of the tasks to be performed.  A radiation safety program must be balanced between providing safety and being able to work effectively within the SCOPE OF WORK authorized by the Radioactive Materials License.
